Sarvodaya Suwasetha Nutrition Centre

The Nutrition Centre, inaugurated in 1976, was established with the mission to provide comprehensive care, nutrition, and protection to vulnerable infants, from birth to 3 years of age, who are in need of nurturing support. Operating under the guidance of the Department of Probation and Child Care, the center serves as a place of safety for these vulnerable children, offering them a secure and nurturing environment, coupled with Healthy Development.

Story of Malkanthi Ariyaratne.

Malkanthi Ariyaratne came to our home as the first baby of the Sarvodaya Suwasetha Nutrition Centre as a malnourished infant. We provided her with basic needs and education, and today, she serves as the Assistant Matron at one of our Child Development Centers. Sarvodaya Suwasetha Leela Jayasekera Memorial Child Development Centre, Moratuwa.

Now at the age of 50, Malkanthi's journey reflects the impact of being brought up in the Sarvodaya Suwasetha environment.

 As Sarvodaya Suwasetha Sewa Society Limited celebrates its 50th anniversary, her story stands as a testament to our mission of nurturing and empowering lives.
